CONSTRUCTION MATERIAL:
The tabletop is made of HPL. This is none other than bakelite also known as laminate, which is a coating material made of synthetic resin, durable and hard. Its real name, then, is High Pressure Laminate ‘HPL’. Bakelite is boards covered with sheets of synthetic materials that look like wood and has a matte or glossy finish. There is a huge variety of colors and imitations of wood or other designs. Its main characteristics are its resistance to impacts, abrasion and stains, its resistance to the creation of bacteria and finally its color stability to sunlight and artificial lighting. It also shows resistance to high temperatures, with excellent resistance to fire, scratches and it is particularly resistant to water.
